Watch the video and answer the following questions.

Part 1: DC power

  • Find the six numbers mentioned and say what they correspond to.
  • You have quite a lot of information about Tesla and Edison: how would you qualify their personalities?
  • What do the letters DC stand for?
  • What was the problem with the DC generators?

Part 2: AC power

  • What is AC?
  • What happened in 1893?
  • How did people light their homes before this invention?
  • In 3 to 4 lines, relate the rumour spread by Edison to discredit Tesla and also relate how the story ends.
